Just bought a house where the previous owner was obsessed with halogen light fixtures! Track lighting in the kitchen, 3 bulbs per bedroom fixture and more in the living room!
Went from 550 watts from the hot halogen bulbs to 44 watts!! Bulbs seems great so far and are cool to the touch. Cannot wait to see my electric bill. I feel much better running my a/c now.

The could be better:
-They are described as 'warm white'...um...not compared to halogens. I would say similar to flourescent light.
-Slight buzzing sound (like flourescent lights) at all brightnesses, very faint, but definitely audible.

Overall I like the bulbs and would recommend them to others, with the disclaimer that they are a 'neutral white' color. Not really 'warm' but not 'cool blue' either.
