Regarding the buzzing,
I've noticed that newer Cree LEDs, although they are packaged the same
and look the same, seem to be improved. They don't buzz in the same
fixture that the older ones buzzed in. Even though the fixture has a
non-LED compatible dimmer.

I'm giving
these bulbs 5 stars, not because they are without fault, but because
after trying different brands and reading a lot of reviews (the review
on The Sweethome is particularly in depth), they are the best option in
light bulbs at the moment.
I have about 40 of them now, throughout the house that I have bought over the course of the last couple of years.
The
light quality is very good, and neither my wife or I can tell the
difference between these bulbs and incandescent bulbs. They are bright
and seem at least as bright as a regular 60 watt bulb (if you are
looking for brighter, they make a more expensive 75 watt version now,
although I haven't personally tried that one as these are bright enough
for everywhere I need them). They come on instantly with no delay and
there is no flicker while they are on. I have several in outdoor
fixtures and they still work great and come on instantly regardless of
temperature (it gets to below zero where I am).
Physically they
are the same size and shape as an incandescent but they feel solid, are
noticeably heavier and have a pleasant soft touch finish on the glass. I
have only had one defective bulb so far out of all that I've bought,
which isn't great but isn't too bad either.
Now the only
negative: buzzing. If you look at the one star reviews, they all seem to
mention this. My experience with buzzing has been with the lights on my
bedroom nightstands.
